Travel Information & Tentative Schedule

March 15th to 17th, 2013

Travel Information

We will be utilizing Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) for the Reunion.  Please contact the Office of Ionian Village with your child’s travel information. Ionian Village will not be providing transportation to/from any other airport.  In order to provide adequate airport transportation and supervision, please plan to:

Arrive DCA on Friday, March 15th between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm 

Depart DCA on Sunday, March 17th at 3:00 pm or later

 *Other forms of transportation are acceptable, such as train, car or bus, however Ionian Village will not be providing supervision at any arrival location other than the DCA Airport and the Hotel.  Please make sure to confirm all transportation arrangements with the Ionian Village Office.

7:00 - 8:00 pm      Welcome Dinner, Intro and Ice-Breakers at Hotel

8:00 - 10:00 pm     Walking Tour of Monuments

10:30 pm            Vespers/Evening Wrap-Up

11:00 pm            Prep for Bed & Lights Out!

 

 Saturday, March 16th

7:45 am              Rise and Shine! Prep for Day

8:45 - 9:30 am       Breakfast at Hotel

10:00 - 11:30 am    Tour of the Capitol Building

11:45 - 1:30 pm     Smithsonian Museum of American History

2:00 - 4:30 pm      Lunch & Shopping in Georgetown

5:00 pm             Arrive Hotel and Prep for Evening

7:00 – 10:30 pm     Board Spirit of Washington for Dinner-Dance Boat Cruise on Potomac River

11:00 pm            Prep for Bed & Lights Out!

  

Sunday, March 17th

 8:30 am                Rise and Shine! Prep for Day, PACK

10:00 am              Divine Liturgy at Saint Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral

12:00 pm              Farewell Brunch

1:00 pm                Depart for DCA
