Father Evagoras is very conscious of the remarkable spiritual impact Ionian Village has on our Greek Orthodox youth and young adults, having participated in the program multiple times as a camper and staff member. He is congizant of the rich Ionian Village that so many young people have experienced.
Father first fell in love with camp as a campers and later counselor at Fanari Camp in Chicago. He also served Camp Saint Paul, the camping ministry of the Direct Archdiocesan District, and Summer Fenn Day Camp, an eight-week day camp for children ages 5-15 in Concord, Massachusetts in various leadership capacities.
Father Evagoras started serving the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is 2010 and was appointed Director of Ionian Village by Archbishop Demetrios in 2011. In addition to his ministry at Ionian Village, he served as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Direct Archdiocesan District, the Presiding Priest at St. Peter's Greek Orthodox Church in Riverdale, New York and as a member of the Religious Education Committee of the Direct Archdiocesan District. Currently, in addition to Ionian Village, Father serves as the Spokesman for Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center as well as at parishes that are in need of temporary Liturgical assistance throughout the Direct Archdiocesan District.
